Founded in 2001, D-Wave is a leader in the development and delivery of quantum computing systems, software, and services. Their installed customer base numbers in the thousands, and on top of the financial implications of their growing business, they have detail-oriented, time-intensive financial reporting requirements, such as SEC filings (Forms 10-K and 10-Q), which cover operational disclosures and must adhere to GAAP standards.
The Challenge
Due to growth, D-Wave faced growing complexity in financial planning and reporting. Their finance team relied on Excel and macros, but as operations expanded, budgeting and forecasting became increasingly time-consuming and error-prone. To improve efficiency, accuracy, and visibility, D-Wave sought a structured FP&A solution that met the following requirements:
